We’re after
Someone staying a year or more

What you’d be doing all day.

We’re not a car wash. Most of our work is paint correction, ceramic coating, PPF, tint and full details, for people who care about their cars.

Wash and decontamination

Two bucket wash, chemical decon, clay bar. Nothing touches the paint until the car is properly clean.

Machine polishing

Single stage and multi stage corrections. Cutting back swirls and scratches, then refining the paint to a deep gloss.

Ceramic coating

Paint prep, then two layers of coating on the paint. Glass, wheels and interiors get coated too.

Interiors

Steam, extraction and leather. The part the owner sees every day.

Cars go out when they’re right, not when the clock says so.

You check your own work under the lights before anything goes back to a customer.

Looking after the shop

Keeping the shop and the gear in good order is part of the job, every day.

Never done it before? We’ll teach you.

We put real time and money into training. Not a quick handover and good luck.

  • On site with our senior detailers, on our processes, products and QC checklists.
  • Off site training days with the product and coating brands, including accreditation courses where they’re available.
  • Training days are paid. You’re not doing this on your own weekend.

“Grace and I like to invest a lot of time and a lot of resources into training all of our team.”

Anton, in the video
  1. Everyone starts here

    Wash and decontamination

Getting a car properly clean before anything touches the paint. It’s the base for everything after it.

  2. Interiors

Seats, carpets, plastics, leather and glass, with steam and extraction.

  3. Machine polishing

Reading the paint, cutting back swirls and scratches, then refining it to a deep gloss.

  4. Ceramic coating

Paint prep and application. We use Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra, which only accredited applicators can get.

  5. Paint protection film and tint

For when you’ve got coatings down and want the next skill. We’ll train you in whichever direction you want to go.

Cars we’ve just finished.

Anton and Grace walk around each one and say what we did to it. Tap one to play, sound on.

“The reaction on their face just lights the entire team up.”

Anton, on a customer walking in to see their car finished

If you love doing work for people and seeing that at the end of it, you’ll like it here.

Attitude first. Skills we can teach.

Grace says it in the video: “The biggest thing we’re looking for is someone who can fit into our culture.” We’re a close-knit team and we want to keep it that way.

You’ll fit in if

  • You work hard and you turn up when you say you will.
  • You’re confident around people. Customers come through the door and you’ll be talking to them.
  • You’ve got an eye for detail. You’re the one who spots the bit everyone else missed.
  • You want the best result possible, even on the boring parts. Detailing is mostly prep.
  • You want to stick around for a year or more.

It’s not the one if

  • You want something to fill in a few months.
  • You’d rather not be on your feet all day. It’s physical work and Cairns is hot.
  • Near enough is good enough for you.
  • You want a job where nobody pushes you to get better.

Sound like you?

What you get.

  • Steady, full-time work

Full-time hours, Monday to Friday. We’re busy, so the work is consistent.

  • Paid training

On site and off site. Training days are paid, not done on your own weekend.

  • Good gear, good chemicals

We don’t make you fight cheap tools.

  • A shop built for the work

Temperature-controlled, with correction lights overhead so you can see what you’re doing.

Questions people ask.

Do I need experience?

No. Experience is a bonus, not a deal breaker. Whether you’ve never washed a car or you’ve done coatings and want to get into PPF, we train you from where you are.

What does the training look like?

On site with our senior detailers, on our processes, products and QC checklists. There are also off site training days with the product and coating brands, including accreditation courses where they’re available. Training days are paid.

What are the hours?

Full-time, Monday to Friday.

Where’s the shop?

Unit 7, 44 Supply Road, Bentley Park, on the southside of Cairns.

Is this a short-term or casual job?

No. We’re after someone who wants to be with us for a year or more. Training you properly takes time and money, so it only works if you’re planning to stay.

What cars would I be working on?

All sorts. Brand new Teslas and Patrols straight from the dealer, family SUVs, and 4WDs straight off the dirt.

Can I get into PPF and tint?

Yes, if that’s where you want to head. We do detailing, ceramic coating, PPF and window tint in the shop, and we’re happy to train you in whichever direction you want to go.

Do I need a resume?

No. The form takes about two minutes. If you’ve detailed before, tell us where in the last box. Work you’re proud of tells us more than a resume does.

What happens after I apply?

One of us reads your application and rings you within a day or two. It’s a chat to see if it’s the right fit, for you and for us. If it’s not, no worries.
